Bistronomic (840 N. Wabash), the contemporary bistro rooted in French culture in Chicago’s Gold Coast, will offer a prix fixe menu for Father’s Day on Sunday, June 18. The contemporary bistro boasts a delectable assortment of French inspired dishes featuring seasonal, local, and sustainable ingredients.
The two-course Father’s Day brunch menu will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The cost is $26 per person, or $41 with the addition of bottomless mimosas, exclusive of tax and gratuity. A two-course children’s menu for those under 12 years of age will be available for $12. Reservations are recommended and may be made via OpenTable on the website.
For the first course, diners can select from options including the Housemade Country Pate with dijon mustard, ginger balsamic vinaigrette, and baguette croutons; Chicken Liver Mousse with roasted hazelnuts, apple and arugula salad, and summer cornichons; Chioggia and Yellow Beet Salad with truffle oil, capriole goat cheese, hazelnut vinaigrette; and Nichols Farm Yellow Was Beans Salad with haricots verts, pickled grapes, and parmesan shavings. Second course options include Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon, hollandaise, and fines herbs (smoked salmon can be substituted for $2); White Mushroom Omelet with red bliss potatoes, Pleasant Ridge cheese, and truffle oil; Le French Burger with angus beef, housemade country pate, Wisconsin swiss cheese, cognac sauce, hand cut fries; Brioche French Toast with crème brulee batter, orange supreme, and Grand Marnier syrup; and Flat Iron Steak and Two Farm Eggs with duck fat red bliss potatoes, shallot purée, and red wine reduction. Patrons may also indulge in $8 desserts including Chocolate Profiteroles with artisanal vanilla ice cream, butterscotch, and bittersweet chocolate; Baked Alaska made with strawberries, meringue, and mixed berries coulis; and Chocolate Hazelnut Bars made with praline, ganache, and orange Grand Marnier sauce.
