GFF: Gluten-Free Forever, the glossy cooking and lifestyle magazine, is hosting a gluten-free takeover of Split-Rail on August 29. It’s an unabashed, 9-dish feast (menu below) that offers people who usually fear dining out a rare opportunity to have a truly magical, safe, and delicious experience.
People with celiac disease or adverse reactions to gluten or wheat are forever on guard when they dine out. They have to be the “high maintenance” diner and even then, they put their health at risk. At this event, people can relax, feel catered to for the first time, and be surrounded by a likeminded community and showered with swag and amazing food.
This gluten-free event, the first of its kind, will leave lasting memories for Chicago’s gluten-free community.

GFF Magazine Continues to Elevate the Gluten-Free Lifestyle with New Dream Dining Series
Gluten-Free Restaurant Takeovers Make Destination Dining Exciting, Stress-Free, and Celiac-Safe
San Francisco—July 12, 2018—Attention gluten-free diners: Get ready for the time of your life! GFF: Gluten-Free Forever Magazine, the premier gluten-free cooking and lifestyle magazine for food lovers, is again redefining the gluten-free lifestyle with a series of extravagant, celiac-safe destination-dining experiences in three major cities.
In partnership with Schär and Nima Sensor, GFF aims to make gluten-free dreams come true by collaborating with top restaurants that are not usually gluten-free to transform them into GF wonderlands loaded with delicious surprises. (Staff at each location will deep clean its kitchen prior to the event to eliminate potential cross-contamination and will use absolutely no gluten products in their cooking.)
Held in Los Angeles at Barton G. (August 11), Chicago at Split Rail (August 29), and Austin at Holy Roller (September 11), each unforgettable event will feature an outstanding, 100% GF feast (including delicious twists on how to cook with Schär products) crafted by incredibly talented chefs; schmoozing with GF luminaries; a bodacious swag bag; a chance to try a gluten-detecting Nima Sensor; coverage in upcoming issues of GFF Magazine; and sensational surprises.
GFF founder and editor Erika Lenkert is proud to champion the first-ever national gluten-free restaurant dining series with sponsors Schär and Nima Sensor. She built her career as a food critic, lifestyle journalist, entertaining expert, and cookbook author on her passion for extraordinary food. She’s become a positive force in the gluten-free community by showing that it’s possible to live a full, flavorful, fabulous life without gluten. Her labor of love, GFF Magazine, inspires readers who enjoy traveling, entertaining, cooking, and eating well, and happen to be gluten free. “Just like chefs, our goal is to provide people with memorable, wildly enjoyable dining experiences. Yet, dining out is often unsafe and stressful for people living gluten-free. We’ve partnered with two exceptional brands and four outstanding restaurants that are as excited as we are to give gluten-free foodies the chance to unabashedly live it up.”
