GPS Hospitality Adds Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen to Franchise Portfolio After Acquiring Hundreds of Burger King Restaurants

GPS Hospitality is expanding its portfolio with the addition of the popular fried chicken restaurant, Popeyes. The hospitality company is a BURGER KING and Popeyes franchisee, operating 229 restaurants in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

PopeyesThe restaurant franchisee began acquiring over 220 BURGER KING restaurants across nine states in less than four years. With the expansion into the restaurant industry, GPS Hospitality acquires seven Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen restaurants throughout metro Atlanta along with plans to develop new restaurants throughout the Atlanta area and in West Virginia.

The purchase marks the first agreement between Popeyes and GPS Hospitality, which has attracted acclaim across the Quick Service Restaurant industry for using its goal-focused and talent-oriented approach to franchise management to rapidly become one of the largest BURGER KING franchisees in the U.S.
