TORONTO (January 17, 2028) – Kozlik’s Canadian Mustard, producers of more than 36 varieties of small batch mustards, will launch its new line of mustard-based barbeque sauces at the Specialty Food Association’s Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco on January 21 – 23, 2018. With expanded California distribution through M5 Corporation, Kozlik’s entire line of hand-crafted condiments are now more accessible than ever to its fans on the West Coast. Kozlik’s will sample its new sauces and spice rubs in Booth #3119 in the South Hall during the show.
“Kozlik’s has been a family owned and operated food business for more than 60 years, so when we first thought of expanding our product line, we were very apprehensive,” said Noah Kessler, Director of Business Development, Kozlik’s Canadian Mustard. “We are and always have been mustard makers first. Our clients count on us to deliver the highest quality, small batch mustard available. We knew that, if we expanded our product line, we had to deliver something as amazing as our mustard.”
Kozlik’s has spent the last two years perfecting its new line of mustard-based BBQ sauces in its own test kitchen. Given the company’s dedication to making an all-natural, gourmet and Kosher product, ingredient sourcing was a particular challenge. After much recipe fine-tuning, deliberation and countless taste tests with the head mustard maker, Jeremy Kessler, Kozlik’s finally produced its first variety, Maple Whiskey BBQ, launching it at their retail location in Toronto. Within a matter of days, the outcry for more of the sauce poured in.
“We were getting emails, Instagram messages, phone calls, and line ups at our retail store in St. Lawrence Market,” said Risa Kessler, Director of Marketing, Kozlik’s Canadian Mustard. “I suppose good news travels fast in the condiment community.”
Following this experience, Kozlik’s immediately stepped up its in-house BBQ sauce production in a big way and produced two more varieties: Carolina and Rib-B-Que. Kozlik’s is now ready for a busy spring and summer barbeque season with amazing distribution in California via M5 Corporation.
