Marshall’s Landing Inside theMART Debuts New Dishes, Drinks and Happy Hour for Fall

CHICAGO- Marshall’s Landing, a dynamic, 12,000-square-foot social space for dining, working, drinking and meeting in the historic Merchandise Mart, has introduced new menu selections for fall, as well as a new happy hour.

Created by Executive Chef Michael Kornick of DMK Restaurants, the new menu selections highlight seasonal vegetables, such as Brussels sprouts and butternut squash, as well as rich spices. The full menu is served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with coffee bar selections available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Spanning appetizers to main courses, new additions to the menu include gravlox and dill deviled eggs, served with bread and butter pickles, priced at $8; a crispy chicken banh mi sandwich, layered with house made kimchi and Thai chili aioli, served on a baguette with a side of chips, priced at $12; Hatch green chili soup, made with pork and topped with cheddar and tortilla chips, priced at $7; crispy rock shrimp, made with pickled daikon, carrots, radish, Thai basil and Sriracha sour cream, priced at $12; southwest steak salad, made with char-grilled steak, shaved cabbage, poblano chili, corn, Mighty Vine tomatoes, tortilla strips, cotija cheese and lemon pepper aioli, priced at $16; Brussels sprouts, seasoned with Sriracha soy and sesame, priced at $8; butternut squash soup, made with Moroccan spices and harissa, priced at $7; a salmon poke bowl, made with Atlantic salmon, avocado, jalapeño, wasabi, tobiko, soy-ginger vinaigrette and Sriracha mayo, priced at $16; and a beet salad, served with pickled beets, marinated kale, romaine, farro, goat cheese and white miso vinaigrette, priced at $14.

Marshall’s Landing has also added new libations for fall, including the That’s What I Like, made with reposado tequila, Aperol, lemon and simple syrup; Start Fall-ing, made with Hennessy cognac, Cointreau liqueur and bitters; the Tamarind Collins, mixed with mezcal, lime and tamarind syrup; and an infused cocktail, the Spoked Piña, made with mezcal and charred pineapple. All cocktails are priced at $12. The restaurant has also added seasonal wines, available by the glass and the bottle, as well as an array of draft and bottled beers.

Marshall’s Landing’s new happy hour, available Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., offers various beer, wine and cocktail specials priced from $5 – $9. Discounted drinks include Goose Island 312 and Oktoberfest beer, priced at $5; Seaglass rosé, Joel Gott Grenache wine and house-made fall sangria, all priced at $6; a Mezcal Old Fashioned, priced at $9; and Humming the Way, mixed with white rum, lime, grapefruit and cherry liqueur, priced at $9.
