Partners, A Tasteful Choice Company, Unveils New Booth Design at its 25th Winter Fancy Food Show

Des Moines, WA (January 17, 2018) – For the last 25 years, Partners, A Tasteful Choice Company, has been a trailblazer in innovation, creativity and sustainability, committed to sourcing only wholesome, high quality non-GMO ingredients for all of their products. The “food for the food conscious” company will showcase their wholesome crackers, crisp flatbreads and lightly sweetened cookies as an exhibitor at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, January 21-23, 2018. Commemorating the baking company’s “Silver Year,” the family-owned business will unveil an upscale new booth (#3723), which will include a unique tasting table of their slow-baked made from scratch products.

“We feel so grateful to our buyers and customers for supporting our growing company over the past quarter century,” said Cara Figgins, Partners’ president and owner. “When my mom started this company, she wanted to create a brand that was backed by integrity and true to her made from scratch roots. Twenty-five years later, we are still dedicated to creating real food from scratch originating from recipes that my mom came up with in her own kitchen. We never take shortcuts and always take care in everything we do, which means we never use fillers, artificial flavors or preservatives; just quality, delicious, real food.”

Partners, A Tasteful Choice Company, was founded in the fall of 1992 when Marian Harris retired from the restaurant business and began selling the crackers she originally created to “partner” her homemade soups and salads. Recognized as a pioneer in the industry, Marian was inducted into the Specialty Food Hall of Fame in 2016, and as of July 2017, transitioned from company president to Chief Innovations Officer. At 77-years-young, Marian is in the family bakery on a regular basis, still creating new recipes and delicious treats made from wholesome natural ingredients. Her daughter, Cara, has stepped up from Vice President of Sales to President, and her son, Greg Maestretti, remains the Vice President of Operations.

During its silver year, Partners moved from a 48,000-square-foot bakery/office/warehouse in Kent, Washington to a brand new LEED-certified 161,000-square-foot bakery/office/warehouse in Des Moines, Washington, increasing production capabilities by nearly seven times. Even with the addition of new equipment and robotics, the company is proud to share that they have not taken any shortcuts in their manufacturing process and are still committed to slow-baking all their products and maintaining the made-from-scratch quality that Partners is known for.

Now that the family company has the space and equipment to grow, the team is focusing on brand strategy and messaging and figuring out how to compete with the larger national brands. “We recently evaluated how we were reaching out to our buyers and customers and wanted to create a booth that better reflects our company values,” remarked Cara. She continued, “We hope that we can transport people away from the hustle and bustle of the show floor and into a little piece of our home. We want to share with everyone how a cracker or cookie made-from-scratch with better-for-you ingredients really can elevate your food experience.”
