Pizza Patrón, a pizza franchise headquartered in San Antonio with more than 90 locations in the U.S. known for its Latin-inspired menu, announced today the company’s brand relaunch, which includes a refreshed logo, modernized visuals and an updated corporate website with a user-friendly online ordering platform.
The new look and feel reflects Pizza Patrón’s mission to craft pizzas powered by culture. Pizza Patrón’s goal is to grow its presence across existing markets, inviting guests to become a part of its multicultural movement and mindset – inspiring those who seek out cultural experiences and influences beyond pizza.
“The relaunch of our brand signifies the start of a new era at Pizza Patrón as we focus on providing flavor-packed pizza to the masses,” said Charles Loflin, CEO of Pizza Patrón. “It’s a new look – one that’s colorful and edgy – but what’s important is that we remain committed to providing our guests a unique experience with a fun and flavor-packed menu. We are certain our existing fans will love our new look and feel, and hope to inspire new customers to be ‘the boss’ and bring their own flavor to our restaurants.”
When Pizza Patrón CEO Charles Loflin and President Christopher Partyka purchased the franchise in late 2016 from Founder Antonio Swad, they announced their plans to move the brand forward. The focus was to put a modern spin on the look and feel, offer additional unique menu items made from fresh ingredients, enhance business efficiency and improve the brand’s technology with online ordering and an email club later this year.
For the rebranding process, Pizza Patrón hired Chief Marketing Officer Stephanie Yzaguirre and partnered with Barkley, an integrated marketing and advertising agency based out of Kansas City, Missouri, and Boulder, Colorado. The partnership began in February 2017, and over the course of 11 months, the Pizza Patrón and Barkley teams worked closely together to develop a modernized approach to the pizza category. In addition to an updated website and online ordering platform, Barkley redesigned Pizza Patrón’s logo, keeping key elements such as the Patrón’s hat and mustache while revamping the overall look with a new color palette and custom typefaces.
