Social Power Hour, a premiere event company, is launching its first-ever cheese festival on Saturday, October 15, 2016. The inaugural event will include some of Chicago’s cheesiest dishes, including grilled cheese, pizza, mac and cheese and more.
The social event will encourage guests to take selfies with their favorite dish and “Say Cheese”. Prizes will be awarded for best selfie using #SayCheeseChi. Restaurants and retailers will have the opportunity to showcase their cheesiest products to cheese lovers from all over. The event is held at Chicago Marriott at the Medical District/UIC with a lunch and dinner session. Tickets start at $30 with a lunch session from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. and dinner session from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with general admission and VIP options.
“We’re very excited to launch a festival dedicated to cheese,” says Matt Hensler, Head of Marketing.” “We have plans to expand Say Cheese into an annual event and into different markets in 2017.”
Attendees will vote for their favorite cheesy bite for a chance for one lucky company to win the Big Cheese Award. The official announcement of vendors will come at a later date.
