Food News Today is excited to attend and judge the 2016 World Food Championships, so follow our journey on Instagram. Chefs from around the world, including 48 states and 14 countries attend to compete for the ultimate food competition.
The world’s largest food fight will begin on Wednesday, November 9 at the Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. For nearly a week, 438 teams will compete tournaments style and be whittled down to only one 2016 World Food Champion.

The World Food Championships platform ranges from live-event competitions to a robust multimedia platform that serves culinary stars, pro chefs, home cooks, brands and destinations.
The ultimate food fight has nine categories:
- World Open Chili Championships

- World Dessert Championship
- World Sandwich Championship
- Bacon World Championship
- World Steak Championship
- World Seafood Championship
- World Barbecue Championship
- World Recipe Championship (themed for Breakfast in 2016)
